The contestants of Bigg Boss 6 are finding it very difficult to stick to the nomination rules – thanks toNavjot Singh Sidhu? And that has been causing a lot of friction between the makers of this television show and the inmates. So during the last eliminations, Salman Khan decided to have a frank chat with the residents and tell them how tampering with the rules is a complete no-no.

“Even in cricket, the players do not get to bend the rules while they are playing the game, right?” Salman asked Sidhu in an attempt to get his point across and added that the players have to take it in the right spirit, ‘coz in the end there’s going to be only one winner.

Responding to this hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani said, “I am not here to win the competition.” In the verbal duel that followed, Sallu commented that the Bigg Boss house is not a resort and people come here to play and win a game. But Sapna firmly stood her ground and maintained that she only wanted to get her message regarding women’s liberation across. We are told that she even made cutting remarks about how Sallu was a woman-beater, and followed it up by the choicest cuss-words and told him that she would buy his paintings and present them to him if she won the show. Reportedly, Sapna had also said, “Koi haq nahi banta har hafte sabki bezzati kartye rahe har Friday. Kyunki aap mujhe paisa dete ho mai aapki bullshit sunti rahoongi har Friday?” But most of the ugly spat was edited out by the makers.

In the next episode we see Sapna bawling about how she really wants to leave the house and it’s only fair that they allow her to do so, instead of eliminating contestants like Sayantani Ghosh, who wanted to stay in. Here Aseem Trivedi tries to talk her out of her rebellious attitude, but the look on Sapna’s face shows that she is in no mood to listen.

Anyway, all this has an adverse effect on everyone as Bigg Boss introduces a ‘rajneeti’ task and declares that two, not one of the contestants would be eliminated in the coming week. Who is to blame – Sapna Bhavnani?

The promo, apparently, shows Katrina in shorts and Salman was worried that his former flame was getting too exposed. “Salman was quite wary about the camera angles capturing Katrina. So, he puts his legs in front of Katrina’s to guard her. He did this subtly without tampering the concept of the shoot,” says the insider, adding, “It was clear that they share a strong emotional bond, which is noticeable by their gestures.”

After the unprecedented success of the romantic-thriller, the film will have its television premiere on Sony on November 11. 

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Ek Tha Tiger has Salman in the lead role as a RAW agent who falls in love with Pakistani ISI agent, played by Katrina.

Director Sunil Agnihotri's wife commits suicide

The 42-year-old wife of a Bollywood film and television producer-director allegedly committed suicide by taking an overdose of pills at her suburban Khar residence, the police said today.

Anjali Agnihotri (42), wife of Sunil Agnihotriwho directed television serial Chandrakanta and films like Jai Kishen and Daava, allegedly committed suicide yesterday at her residence in Rem Band Society Building at Pali Hill Road, Khar police station's senior inspector Mangesh Pote said.

According to Pote, Anjali's son Siddharth, who is a pilot, left for the gym at noon after informing her. When he returned at about 6 pm, he found her sleeping in the bedroom.

Siddharth tried to wake her up, but she did not respond. She was rushed to the nearby private hospital by her family members, where she was declared dead before admission. Subsequently, in a suicide note found in the bedroom with several tablet boxes, she held nobody responsible.

"I love my family, son, husband and mother-in-law. Nobody is responsible for my suicide," the police said.

Acting is my priority, says Rajpal Yadav

Rajpal Yadav turns director with his upcoming film Ata Pata Laapata, but acting will be Rajpal's priority.

Rajpal claims that direction and production will help him showcase his creativity. "Acting will be priority. I will never disturb my acting career for direction, but all my life I will be working. Direction brings lot of personal satisfaction," said the actor.

"I love my work so much that I get conscious when I don't work. With direction and production I want to reach new heights," concluded Rajpal.

Kunal Kapoor to direct short film soon

Actor Kunal Kapoor, who had assisted filmmaker Rakesh Omprakash Mehra in "Aks", plans to direct a short film soon.

"I would like to direct a short film in the near future. I find short films very interesting. So, yes, short film is something that I would love to do. But not the whole feature film right now," Kunal told IANS.

Asked about the subject of his short film, he replied, "There are a lot of ideas in my mind right now. I have an idea almost every day, but I have to develop the subject."

As an actor he wants to stick to commercial films.

"Obviously commercial success matters a lot to me. There is no two ways about it. I think as an actor, the most important thing is that your film should reach out to as many people as possible. If there is a choice between being critically acclaimed and commercial success, then I would chose commercial success."

"I want to be part of stories that can reach out to as many people as possible," he added.

Kunal is currently gearing up for " Luv Shuv The Chicken Khurana" release. Made by directorSameer Sharma, it is slated for a Nov 2 release.

Vidyut Jamwal designs his own stunts

Actor Vidyut Jamwal has designed his own action sequences in collaboration with an international stunt team for his upcoming venture " Commando".

The 32-year-old martial artist is playing the lead in the Vipul Shah action flick, which will showcase some unique stunts that has never been seen in films before.

"Vipul (Shah) has been very involved and enthusiastic about the film and it is touted to touch a whole new level of action with stunts and sequences that will take audiences by storm.

"Also, the fact that this film will see lead actor Vidyut Jammwal perform them himself without any harness or cables is one of the reasons why the film has already been gathering so much buzz within the industry," a source said.

The stunt team has been imported from South Africa and they have worked with Hollywood biggies like Tom Cruise, Daniel Craig and Matt Damon.

"Vidyut has been working closely with the stunt team that has been flown in especially for the film. This South African team is believed to have worked on some of large format Hollywood action flicks," the source added.

The film is currently being shot in Punjab.

priyanka yet to decide on saw item song

There have been murmurs that Priyanka Chopra has agreed to do an item number in Sanjay Gupta'sShootout At Wadala. However, sources close to the actress say that whether she will do the song or not is yet undecided. One of the reasons being the concept of the song which is not yet clear. 

Says a source close to PC, "Yes... Priyanka is interested to do the song but the final concept is not yet ready. The makers of the film and PC would jointly take a call only after the concept is ready." 

The actor had earlier said that if some special song does come by her way that she finds interesting or is fun, she would take it up for sure... But whether she will be a part of this song is still uncertain.

Chetan Bhagat to write screenplay of Kick

After having worked on the screenplay of films likeHello and Kai Po Che (both based on his best selling novels), celebrated author Chetan Bhagat will now be writing the screenplay of Salman Khan starrer Kickproduced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Chetan and Sajid have known each other for a while now and the writer even sold the rights of his popular novel '2 States: The Story of My Marriage' to Sajid Nadiadwala. When Nadiadwala took over the reins of directing Kick from Shirish Kunder, he thought it will be best if Bhagat helped with the screenplay.

Kick starring Salman Khan is a remake of the 2009 Telugu blockbuster Kick. Even though the makers have acquired the official remake rights, Chetan Bhagat plans to re-structure the original screenplay to suit the Hindi audiences' taste.

Confirming the same Chetan tweeted, "Happy to share with you that I'll be writing the screenplay of 'Kick' starring Salman Khan and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. Kick is a about a guy who lives life only for his kicks, a powerful concept and a perfect recipe for a Salman-Nadiadwala blockbuster. Have known both Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala for a while and been wanting to work with them. Couldn't have asked for a better screenplay debut. Theatres to serve bananas with popcorn for Ajab Gazabb Love

Leave it to producer Vashu Bhagnani to come up with an innovative method to promote his films. Last time around, it was an online music launch and now for his upcoming film Ajab Gazabb Love, starring his son Jackky Bhagnani and Nidhi Subbaiah, Vashu has thought of something new. For the first time, theatres screening the film will be serving bananas along with the usual cold drinks and popcorn combos.

Confirming this, Vashu states that he came up with this concept since bananas play a pivotal role in the film, since Jackky and his dad turn banana vendors for some portions of the film. Being the common man's fruit, Vashu decided to give cine viewers a special treat with the bananas.

In fact if the new promotion plans don't manage to send you bananas, the makers have planned not one but five premieres of the film. The lead pair of Ajab Gazabb Love will be city hopping from Cinepolis in Amritsar, to Fun Republic in Chandigarh, to PVR Saket in Delhi, to Inox Crystal in Jaipur and finally finishing off with PVR Indore.

Jaspal Bhatti dies in a road accident

Popular comedian and film director Jaspal Bhatti, who touched a chord with the masses with his humorous take on problems plaguing the common man, died when his car rammed into a roadside tree in the wee hours of Thursday.

The satirist’s son Jasraj who was driving the car and actress Surilie Gautam, the heroine of his film Power Cut which is to be released on Friday, were seriously injured in the mishap, police said.

The 57-year-old actor-director, who made his way into the hearts of his people with his satirical shows like ‘Ulta Pulta’ and ‘Flop Show’, was on a tour to promote the film when the accident took place near Shahkot in Nakodar area of the district at 2:30 a.m., Bhatti’s associate Vinod Sharma told PTI in Chandigarh.

They were rushed to a private hospital in Jalandhar, where Bhatti was declared brought dead.

“His body was brought to the hospital after 3 a.m. and after medical examination he was declared dead,” said Dr Harpreet Singh.

Bhatti leaves behind his wife Savita, a son and a daughter Raabiya.

Sharma said that Bhatti was going to Jalandhar from Bhatinda for the promotion of his Punjabi film which is based on the frequent power cuts in Punjab.

Bhatti’s son Jasraj and Gautam have been referred to a Ludhiana hospital. According to doctors, they are in a stable but critical condition.

Born on March 3, 1955, at Amritsar, Bhatti graduated from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh as an electrical engineer.

During his college days, he was popular for his street plays which were spoofs ridiculing corruption in society.

Before venturing into television, he was a cartoonist for the The Tribune newspaper in Chandigarh.

His satire on the Punjab police, Mahaul Theek Hai, was his first directorial venture in Punjabi. He played the role of Jolly Good Singh, a guard, in the movie Fanaa. He also starred in the Punjabi film Jijaji. 

Bhatti and his wife Savita competed in a reality show ’Nach Baliye’ in 2008. The couple put their best foot forward to entertain the audiences with their dancing and comic skills.

The cremation is expected to take place later Thursday evening after his body is brought to Chandigarh after completion of various legal formalities and post-mortem.

MUMBAI: Bollywood celebrities on Thursday expressed shock over satirist Jaspal Bhatti’s death in a car accident, calling it a loss of an “incredible entertainer”.

Anupam Kher, who was quite close to Bhatti, tweeted, “Just landed in Mumbai and came to know about my friend Jaspal Bhatti’s tragic death. Why is God taking away all d nicest people. So SAD (sic).

“I used to tell Jaspal Bhatti that he does fantastic comedy so seriously. He was also a great supporter of anti corruption campaign. RIP.”

Actor Akshay Kumar recalled memories of Bhatti’s hit TV series ‘Flop Show’. “Saddened to know about the death of the great comedian, Jaspal Bhatti. I have fond memories of his super hit show, Flop Show, providing the much needed humour in our lives. May his soul rest in peace,” Akshay posted on Twitter.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar said Bhatti had mastered the art of making people laugh. “RIP Bhatti ji, may God give strength to your family,” he added.

Actor Jimmy Sheirgill, who also hails from Punjab, seemed shaken with the news.

“Received another shockingly terrible news of the demise of Jaspal Bhatti saab today... I don’t know what’s hapenning…so sad... RIP,” said Sheirgill.

“My deepest condolences to late Jaspal Bhatti’s family! May God give them strength to bear this sudden loss! May Bhatti saab rest in peace!” said Manoj Bajpayee.

“Really sad to hear the news about Jaspal Bhatti’s death.. What an incredible entertainer he was..,” tweeted Kunal Kapoor.

Aftab Shivdasani tweeted, “Prayers for the soul of ace comedian Jaspalji Bhatti, unfortunate and sad. RIP.”

“RIP Jaspal Bhatti! really sad! He really got us all ’Ulta Pulta wth his wit n humor (sic),” said Divya Dutta.

“The man behind the superhit ‘Flop Show’, no more. RIP Bhatti sahab,” said Shreyas Talpade.

Agneepath – Hrithik Roshan’s incandescent rage and the fire burning within him to destroy his enemy remind us of the many Bollywood heroes who have waited to settle scores for an unbearably long duration. Roshan’s mysterious aura and heroic passion reflect the vibes of this festival perfectly.

Ghajini – Aamir Khan didn’t allow his memory loss to be the hindrance between him and his mission to kill the socks off his enemies. Although it borrows its concept from Memento (2000), Khan did portray his character brilliantly and impressed us with his intense thespian skills.

Kahaani – Vidya’s Durga maa avatar in the posters of Kahaani was enough to convince us that Balan was perfectly cut-out to portray a role that required her to take sweet revenge. Her goddess-like courage and strength give us the much needed inspiration to remain brave in the face of adversities.

a sad news in the bollywood that yash chopra has been died because of dangue.this is a very big loss for the industry.We all salute him because he had made so much movies through which he tells us about many things.He was also knwn as aking romance.and he dies at the age of 80.And he got cremated in mumbai at vile parle crematorium.Veteran director Yash Chopra was cremated at Mumbai's Vile Parle crematorium yesterday. Mr Chopra died of multi organ failure on Sunday (October 22). 

Mr Chopra's body covered with flowers and garlands, was taken to the crematorium in an ambulance from Yash Raj Studios. The late director's body had been kept overnight at the studios for people to pay their last respects. 

Celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Adnan Sami, Mukesh Bhatt, Preity Zinta, Anil Sharma, Pradeep Sarkar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Prateik, Manish Malhotra, Shreyas Talpade, Raj Kundra, Rohit Shetty, Satish Kaushik, Javed Akhtar, Kirron Kher, Siddharth Roy Kapur, and Gauhar Khan, attended the last rites.

Mr Chopra was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on October 13 with dengue fever. On October 17, he was reported to have improved and was expected to be discharged soon.

"He passed away due to dengue and multiple organ failure today evening. He was in the ICU," Lilavati Hospital spokesperson Dr Sudhir told PTI on Sunday.

An official statement from Yash Raj Films, the production company founded by Mr Chopra, said: It is with deep regret that we announce the sad demise of Mr. Yash Chopra, who breathed his last at around 5:30 PM today. Details of his last rites will be communicated to all a little later.

 Mr Chopra's 22nd film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, will release this Diwali. 

Yash Chopra directed films like Deewar, Silsila, Kabhi Kabhie and Lamhe in his five-decade long career. His production company, Yash Raj Films, produced films such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Bunty Aur Babli and Mohabbatein.

In an interview with Shah Rukh Khan on his 80th birthday, Mr Chopra had announced his retirement from directing, saying that Jab Tak Hai Jaan would be his last film.

Mr Chopra is survived by his wife Pamela and two sons Aditya and Uday.

Actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Dilip Kumar and Anil Kapoor, all directed by Mr Chopra, arrived at Lilavati Hospital as news of the director's death broke.

The sudden demise of veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra left superstar Shah Rukh Khan bereaved and he described it as a personal loss, and says he will always keep a part of the filmmaker in his heart.

"Whenever my loved ones depart, I feel a part of me extinguishes itself with them. Will there come a day that I will no longer have a bit of myself to let go of? And then the thought follows ... that every time they have taken some of me with them onto their last journey, I have found a fragment of them left inside me too.

"I will always have some love to give and I will always be both emptied and replenished by the loved ones I lose. I keep u with me Yashji and I miss u too Yashji ... lots," Shah Rukh posted on Twitter.
